Stackmon Stacka Guide: One-Time Catches and Shiny Hunts

Plan Stacka encounters carefully: official achievements mark them as special collection goals, while players report that each Stacka can be caught once.

Treat every Stacka encounter as a one-time capture decision. The official achievements identify Stackas as a special collection goal, and current players report that each individual Stacka can only be caught once per save.

If you want a Shiny Stacka, decide before the permanent capture. Do not assume you can catch a regular one now and replace it later.

Before the Encounter

Prepare:

  • enough Adventure Points for the route and repeat attempts;
  • a team that wins the fight consistently;
  • healing or revival support;
  • a Stack Totem or the current required capture item;
  • free backpack space;
  • a normal save before the final part of the fight.

The community thread reports saving shortly before the end of the fight, then reloading when the result is not Shiny. This is a player-reported method, not an official recommendation. Back up your save according to the game’s supported behavior and avoid forcing a reload during an active write.

Regular Capture or Shiny Hunt?

Choose a regular capture when:

  • you want collection progress now;
  • the Stacka fills an immediate element or team need;
  • your attempts are expensive in AP or consumables;
  • you prefer normal progression over repeated reloads.

Consider a Shiny hunt when:

  • the community-reported maximum base stats matter to your plan;
  • the fight is already consistent;
  • the repeat cost is acceptable;
  • you understand that a captured regular Stacka may close that save’s opportunity.

A Safe Attempt Loop

  1. reach the encounter with a healthy team;
  2. make a supported save before the last phase or final hit;
  3. defeat the Stacka and inspect the resulting card;
  4. if it matches your goal, capture it;
  5. if not, either accept the regular result or reload only from a clean save;
  6. stop when AP, time, or save stability becomes the real bottleneck.

Do not reload endlessly because a guide implies a guaranteed rate. No official Shiny probability was found in the sources reviewed for this page.

What the Achievement List Proves

The official Steam achievement page includes:

  • Legendary Tamer: capture your first Stacka;
  • Legendary Power: capture all Stackas.

This confirms that Stackas are a distinct, finite collection objective. It does not publish their locations, capture rates, Shiny odds, or whether future updates can add more.

Shiny vs Foil on a Stacka

Current community reports say Shiny and Foil do not stack. If you are choosing one rare outcome, read the Shiny vs Foil guide: Shiny is the reported stat-focused variant, while Foil is a separate card treatment.

Keep a Tracking Note

Until a complete official Stacka directory exists, record:

What Is Not Yet Published

We do not currently have enough official or independently verified evidence to publish an all-Stacka location table. The page will expand when every row can name a source, condition, and checked version.

Evidence Note

Checked 21 August 2026. Stacka achievement wording is official. One-catch behavior and the reload-based Shiny hunt are current player reports from the Steam discussion.
